Green tea

Green tea is full of antioxidants which are important in clearing up free radicals. Free radicals cause oxidative damage within the body and their deleterious effect on DNA is a major cause of cancer.

I drink a cup of green tea everyday - however I find it is best to drink after a meal (the taste is not everyone's cup of tea!). Long term studies on the effects of green tea have proven it beneficial and it has been used for many years for its antioxidant properties.

Of course it is not a miracle drink and it can't guarantee to improve longevity, however it is a good method of increasing body antioxidants and preventing damage.
